The Work Behind
the Why.
Our work comes to life through education, empowerment, and remembrance — the core threads that shape every program we build.
A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER
"Why I Started This Work."
I started this work because I believe our young people deserve spaces that affirm their history, strengthen their identity, and prepare them to lead with purpose. Heirs of Excellence was created to help restore what has been overlooked, to give our youth language for their legacy, and to help them see themselves as more than survivors — as leaders, builders, and Heirs to something powerful. This is not just programming to me. This is legacy work.

Cultural Literacy & Awareness

Cultivating Confidence & Self-Worth

National Commemoration
Our Mission:
We educate, elevate, and empower urban youth by deepening their understanding of cultural history, strengthening their sense of identity and purpose, and developing their capacity to lead. Through cultural education, mentorship initiatives, and public commemoration, we preserve historical memory, foster generational strength, and honor the African American journey as an essential chapter of American history.

From Roots to Resilience: The Power Behind the Purpose

Who We Are:
The National Juneteenth Heirs of Excellence Foundation was born from a vision to preserve, correct, and elevate the African American story by creating meaningful spaces where untold histories are taught, cultural narratives are reclaimed, and young people are equipped to discover purpose, build confidence, and walk boldly in who they are becoming. Rooted in cultural literacy, historical preservation, youth empowerment, and community enrichment, our work connects history to purpose—and purpose to possibility.
Founded in 2021, our story began with a simple yet powerful mission: to educate, elevate, and empower urban youth. As we build bridges between the past and the future, we invite you to join us in empowering generations to come.
THE STORY OF US

Legacy.
A Future Driven
by Purpose.
The Inheritance of a People
Cultural literacy helps our young people understand not only where they come from, but what has been carried, protected, and passed down through generations.
Through education, mentorship, and public commemoration, we preserve cultural memory and honor the African American journey as an inheritance of resilience, identity, freedom, and excellence.

We preserve African American stories through generational storytelling and cultural expression, ensuring that the legacy, lessons, and lived experiences of those before us continue to shape the future.

03
Youth Leadership
We develop confident, purpose-driven young leaders equipped to harness their voice, embrace their potential, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

04
Commemoration
